Transparent by design About the data
GSoC Organizations reorganizes public Google Summer of Code archive data
for research. It does not rank organizations or predict acceptance.
What is included
The local dataset covers annual archive records through 2026,
with organization metadata, participation years, and historical
projects. Tags are normalized only for obvious spelling,
capitalization, and whitespace equivalents.
Project-level technology tags are inferred by matching an
organization’s declared technologies against project text. They are
labeled as inferred and should be used as discovery hints, not
authoritative classifications.
Repository link states
- Verified links were manually checked against an official
organization-controlled source.
- Inferred links are derived from official ideas, contribution,
or organization URLs.
- Find repositories is a clearly labeled search fallback
when no direct source can be established.
Privacy and independence
Bookmarks and notes stay in browser storage. The site has no account
system, advertising, analytics, or runtime GitHub API calls.
This independent community project is not affiliated with or endorsed
by Google. Google Summer of Code is a Google program.
